Episode 6: The Unspoken Goodbye
Scene 1: Anum’s Restless Sunday Night
Setting: Anum’s bedroom, Sunday night. The room is quiet, but Anum’s mind is racing. She’s tossing and turning, unable to sleep. The soft glow of the moonlight barely calms her busy thoughts.
Anum: (thinking to herself) Why can’t I sleep? What’s wrong with me tonight?

Anum: (to herself, smiling at the mirror) I don’t know why, but I just want to look good today.
She leaves for the office with a lightness in her step, her heart beating a little faster with a feeling she can’t quite explain.
Scene 3: Imran’s Departure
Setting: Imran’s home, Monday morning. Imran is packing his suitcase, getting ready to leave for the airport. His mother notices him and walks over, concern on her face.
Mrs. Khan: (gently) Imran, beta, are you going somewhere? You seem worried… what’s on your mind?
Imran: (hesitant, trying to stay calm) Just some office work, Ammi. Nothing to worry about.
He pauses for a moment, then decides to tell her.
Imran: I’m going out of the country for a while. Just need some time to think.
Mrs. Khan: (concerned) When will you come back, beta?
Imran: (softly) I’m not sure, Ammi. I’ll call you when I can.
He gives her a reassuring smile, but inside, he feels uneasy. He picks up his suitcase and leaves, not looking back, trying to ignore the heavy feeling in his chest.
Scene 4: Anum’s Disappointment
Setting: The office, later that morning. Anum arrives at work, her heart filled with hope. She doesn’t know why, but she hopes to see Imran today. As she walks through the office, she glances around, looking for him.
Anum: (thinking to herself) Where is he? Maybe he’s just running late…
She tries to focus on her work, but the thought of Imran keeps distracting her. Lunchtime arrives, and she realizes she hasn’t seen him all day. Concerned, she asks a colleague.
Anum: (casually, trying to hide her worry) Hey, do you know if Mr. Imran is coming in today?
Colleague: (shrugging) Oh, didn’t you hear? He’s gone out of the country for some work. Don’t know when he’ll be back.
Anum’s heart sinks. She wasn’t expecting this. A wave of sadness washes over her, and she feels a strange emptiness she can’t quite understand.
Anum: (softly, to herself) Out of the country…? Why didn’t he say anything…?
Scene 5: Imran’s Restlessness in Dubai
Setting: Imran’s hotel room, Dubai, late at night. Imran is sitting by the window, staring out at the bright city lights. Despite the beauty around him, he feels nothing but loneliness.
Imran: (thinking to himself) What have I done? Why does it feel like I’ve left a part of myself back in Pakistan…?
The realization hits him hard. He’s never felt this way before, and the intensity of his emotions scares him. He wants to cry, but he holds back, feeling lost and overwhelmed.
Imran: (softly, to himself) Why do I feel so empty? What is this feeling?
